THE BOTANIST ISLAY DRY GIN 700ML
THE BOTANIST ISLAY DRY GIN 700ML
The Botanist Islay Dry Gin is a premium gin produced by Bruichladdich Distillery, located on the Scottish island of Islay. This gin is crafted using a unique combination of 22 hand-foraged botanicals, sourced from the local island and surrounding area. The distillation process involves the use of two different types of stills - a Lomond pot still and a traditional copper pot still - which contribute to the complex and well-balanced flavor profile of The Botanist.
On the nose, The Botanist Islay Dry Gin offers a fresh and vibrant aroma, with floral notes of delicate chamomile, heather, and elderflower. These botanicals are complemented by hints of citrus zest, specifically lemon and orange peel, which add a bright and zesty character to the gin.
When sipped neat, The Botanist reveals a smooth and silky texture on the palate. The initial taste is herbaceous, showcasing flavors of mint, coriander, and thyme. This herbal profile is then followed by a wave of floral sweetness, with notes of lavender and rose petals adding depth and complexity to the gin. Towards the finish, there is a subtle hint of spice, provided by cinnamon and cloves.
